The first working meeting of the Model BCN Water Solutions project took place on 14 January. This pioneering initiative is led by INDESCAT, Fluidra and the Barcelona City Council, and aims to transform the management of sports aquatic facilities, making them more sustainable, efficient and innovative.
The meeting was attended by CET10, Club Lleuresport and Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta managers, and served to establish the foundations and define the project's strategic pillars. The project seeks to advance towards a new smart management model for Barcelona's aquatic facilities and to establish the city as a global leader in the sustainable management of such facilities.
Digitalization will be an essential tool for the success of the project. The collection and analysis of data in the facilities, through Datapool technology, will allow informed and strategic decision-making. In addition, it will help monitor water and energy consumption and manage resources intelligently to optimize their use. Through these strategic pillars and innovation, the project aims to improve the water and energy efficiency of the facilities while enhancing the experience and comfort of their users.
This first joint working session once again highlights the genuine commitment to collaboration between the Administration, the business sector, and the cluster, an essential alliance to develop real solutions to current challenges that benefit both the city of Barcelona and the sports sector.
